As the title suggests, I want to present some recent images fitting a WILDerness theme.
First, here are a couple of Bighorn rams’ figuring out who’s got the "rights'" - taken while I was visiting the Chilcotin area of British Columbia in November:
The majestic Chilcotin River (I will be coming back!):
I want to thank this particularly beautiful Okanagan whitetail deer fawn. She was waiting for her pals to join her before vanishing:
Also, here are a couple of backyard visitors that we have been privileged to watch in the past couple of months:
Thanks for visiting!

Sometimes, it’s best to wait.
These little falls has been waiting to be photographed. A couple of days ago, a gusty wind came through and it rained, hard. Ah yes, fresh fallen leaves and soaking wet colours.

Been travelling – San Francisco and Berkeley
Brother Brian is working hard at his PhD from University of California, so I took a few days to visit him and tour the cities in the area. Touring the area mostly by foot; we had some great fun and a few laughs. Thanks Brian, keep up the good work there at Cal!

trails of Westbank
As part of the ongoing work for Westbank Tourism, Rose and I spent some time yesterday working in the Gellatly Nut Farm and along the trails of Power’s Creek. We got some beautiful shots along the lakeshore, in the trails of the farm and along the creek. Thank you Rose, you are a delight to work with.

Summer issue of Okanagan Life Magazine
I met and photographed two wonderful people yesterday. Jenine Stickler owns and operates Lamps-a-Lot in Westbank. They take lamps that are destined to dust collection or worse and turn them into funky little treasures. Carol Jackson saves books from being destroyed and offers them for free from her garage. Reuse, wonderful. Thank you Jenine. Thank you Carol.

horsing around
While in Vancouver over the past few days one of the things that I worked on was developing images for a project on horse culture. I want to focus on the intimate moments, the scenes that we, as outsiders, rarely glimpse. Justine, a close friend of Sarah and I, volunteered some of her time to work with me. Justine is a professional rider and trainer, the most perfect subject that I could ask for. Thank you Justine!
