Janice Perrino is a woman of many hats; just one of them as director of development with the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation. We met yesterday in Penticton. Janice, your cheerfulness is contagious and much appreciated!
When I was young I spent my free time exploring the fields, forests and ponds behind our home – I still do. My curiosity and eventual concern for the environment directed me to pursue an academic career focusing on ecology and the environment. I ended up graduating with a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Trent University. Upon completion and in-between my academic and educational pursuits I have spent time working as a ski patroller in the winters and as a wilderness canoe guide – with camera at my side. I am now settled here into Kelowna, British Columbia with a much newer and fancier camera at my side. I love it here; wildlife and adventure abound here in the topographic and climatic diversity of British Columbia – this is my dream location.
